Our staff provide the help and support that each camper needs, while giving them the room to develop a healthy sense of independence. Our approach to every aspect of the day is meant to leverage this connection. We understand that there is a connection between independence, resilience and confidence. Our campers are required to make their way through the daily schedule, often with the items that they have brought to camp. Our younger campers take part in low ropes, while our older campers participate in high ropes. Amazing food & great time to meet new friends 9. Swimming is scheduled daily for each group so that campers can keep cool. Our Staten Island campers experience a well rounded day of education, music, art, fitness and fun Friday events 7:30AM 9:00AM Early Drop-Off. In some cases, our day campers have the opportunity to take part in these activities twice throughout the week.
Parents who are picking up their campers can do so between 4:15 pm and 5:30 pm.Įach camper group has a weekly schedule of activities that includes archery, arts and crafts, nature, climbing wall, bouldering, canoeing, camp craft, ropes courses and swimming. All the buses are scheduled to leave the camp no later than 4:00 pm. Campers are dismissed and led up to the buses and begin boarding. By 3:20 pm, everyone is heading back to their shelters where we announce achievements such as bulls eyes at archery or a record climbing time at the wall. There are three activity periods in the morning before. After some brief announcements, each group sets off on the first activity on their schedule, which begins at 9:30 am. with the wake-up bell followed by breakfast and time for bunk clean up. As they arrive, campers find their assigned groups with the help of the counsellors.Ĭampers are assigned to groups of 12, based upon their school grade. On the first day of each session, campers receive a sticker with their name and their group on it. Our day camp buses arrive between 8:50 am and 9:00 am. Campers who are dropped off at camp arrive between 7:30 am and 8:40 am. Each day begins with our arrival procedures.
